Welcome to Hilty Farms! In the next few months we
will be building and adding on to this site with
the eventual goal of making this site your source
for local and sustainable food and information. We
now have
online
payments available via PayPal to make it easier
for your to pay for your vegetables. We have a list
of future updates that are planned for the site in
the News and Update Section. Please feel free to
email me comments, questions and/or suggestions
anytime at
joel@hiltyfarms.com
with suggestions.

Summer 2009
We have made it past the first
official farm delivery and are ramping
up to continue to expand our client
group. Please email me at
joelhiltyjones@hotmail.com
if you would like to get more info on
delivery dates and pricing. We are in
season and are taking orders for those
who want to can beans. In the next few
weeks we will expand that to tomatoes.
We are also planning on taking a trip
to central Wa this fall to pick up a
load of pears, peaches and apples from
an organic grower (if interested email
me) Last but not least we are also
starting to put together an order for
organic turkeys for both Thanksgiving
and Christmas. More information to
follow on price and weight.

I want to highlight the Free Trade section as
I think it needs more explanation. With the
economy in its current state, it is my belief
that much of your future consumption will need
to be done through more local means than buying
from thousands of miles away.
Each and every one of us will be facing higher
prices and less pay as we move forward but with
smarter planning and better access we can have
the products we need and desire by other means
than buying them from corporations like
Wal-Mart and Costco. If you take a quick look
at each product you buy it's not hard to find
local people who make or produce most
everything we actually need. My goal is to
start a local barter and trade section, a
forum, much like Craigslist, but centered on
exchanging services or products. A place where
an artist can trade her painting for a quilt
and a photographer can trade his pictures for
honey. The goal is to exchange not to purchase.
It will be open to anyone but we will reserve
the right to block or delete anything we feel
is unwanted.
